Beaded Yoruba Chairs - Very Rare - Black & White
The Yoruba Tribe of Nigeria are famous for their colorful and skilled bead work. Each chair takes roughly three months to create as there are thousands of beads embellishing these works and each bead is hand sewn into strong fabric covering the chair. Yoruba chairs were traditionally used by the Royalty, Healers and Diviners of the Yoruba tribe in West Africa. Their designs and symbols denote wealth, power, strength and wisdom.
Today, these chairs are more than a statement piece of furniture, they are very rare art pieces. Yoruba beaded chairs are becoming very hard to obtain now, especially those in good condition. We can source additional Yoruba chairs for large orders, so please inquire.
