A Monthly Presentation on the Ancient Rock Art of Sedona
The next series of talks will commence in September / October 2016, so keep checking-in with us.
Join us for a Presentation on The Ancient Rock Art of Sedona, as presented by Mr Kenneth Zoll, Executive Director of Verde Valley Archaeology Center. Mr Zoll has published several books and studies on Rock Art and is well renowned.
There are over 450 recorded Rock Art sites in the Sedona/Verde Valley area. There are many questions about these images. Who made them? How have they lasted this long? What do they mean? What are Sunwatchers? What Astronomical significance do these images have? The images also offer insight into how these past cultures existed and their time and movements in the Verde Valley. A very interesting and insightful topic.
When : 1st Friday of every month between 6 pm and 7 pm
Where : Sedona Rock Art Gallery – Suite 8, 150 State Route 179, Sedona, 86336 (Red Stone Center near Baskin Robbins)
